murmurmur… WHAT. A. BAND.

In all the times I’ve seen them, (and I have to admit, there’s been a few) I’ve never seen them ‘cook’ quite like they did last night, for the launch of their latest single ‘Everything’s Still Changing’. The guys were super relaxed and just out to have a ball and the vibe was infectious.

On fire from the get-go, we got all the ‘Mur future classics – like ‘Preoccupied’, ‘Cable Car’, ‘Marmalade’, ‘A Little Misunderstood’ plus two brand new stellar tracks – the opener ‘Night Owl’ and ‘Fishing Bowl’… not to mention my favourite bit of the evening – an incendiary little wig-out, curiously entitled ‘PP Jam’.

Thanks to WillJackAlex and Luke who granted me permission to cover the whole set… Pending management approval (here’s looking at you Jack 😉 ), we’ll be able to offer everyone a beautiful little historical snapshot of ‘The Mur’ – back in the day when you could actually get anywhere near the front of the venue…! <3

There’s one more chance for Sydney-siders to catch them next month at the Oxford Arts Factory on October 3rd
