’30 Years and Counting Tour’

DEACON BLUE… ‘bringing it’ to MELBOURNE TOWN <3

This is a band that I have loved since the very beginning and only seen once… For I did the sums and it’s been a staggering thirty years… since they last played Melbourne town at the Palace in St Kilda on their ‘Fergus Sings the Blues’ tour…

Can a band that was once so rooted in delivering performances that remained with you forever, still bring the same energy and emotion after all this time?

Well… they didn’t disappoint, delivering an absolutely stunning performance at the Corner Hotel – wowing the crowd with their spunk and enthusiasm, playing this gig with so much conviction, you could have been forgiven for thinking it was their last.

It must be something in the water with Scottish bands because they inherently comprehend just what a big deal it is for their adoring fans to finally catch up with them after all these years and they deliver in spades.

Feel so invigorated after this gig and just super relieved that I had the foresight to have grabbed a ticket for Tuesday night’s show… can’t wait to relive the ecstasy one more time!

Thanks Skip, for the opportunity to capture some of the greatness!

If you can still snaffle a ticket for ANY gig on this ’30 Years And Counting’ Tour, ‘maybe now baby… you’ll do what you should have did’ <3
