Spent just the most special evening down at Odeon Richmond at 267 Swan Street for their private Media and Industry launch last night.
It was tremendously meaningful to be there for so many reasons, but most of all because passionate friends and supporters of Eleni and Bruce who are emotionally invested in their success were all present to wish them well on their gutsy and inspiring Odeon Richmond venture.
The inimitable Grace Woodroofe was in the house to christen the Odeon stage with a batch of brand new unreleased songs and took us on a very personal journey, with an exceptionally vulnerable and impassioned performance, that left everyone quite stunned.
In a time when venues are closing down, it could be construed as an act of utter madness to be doing just the opposite and opening up a new one, but as Bruce quite rightly pointed out, when you get to experience the kind of magic that we did last night, it makes taking the risk all worthwhile.
Grace is off to Los Angeles next week to record her new album and has already been invited back to do the launch at Odeon Richmond.
