Simple Minds at the Sydney Opera House. A long time ambition for both Charlie and Jim to play here was realised yesterday. We witnessed two incredible shows in one night… and the best part? I got to share the experience at ground zero with great mates. If you have tickets to see these guys on the world tour you are in for a helluva ride.

Nick Mason’s ‘Saucerful of Secrets’ show last night at the Forum… Tonight’s second show is Melbourne’s last opportunity to hear the songs Roger and Dave will never play. Exquisite. So grateful I made the effort.

It’s now an unbelievable 43 years down the track and Steve Kilbey and his merry band of minstrels are still out on the Old Coast Road, quietly sliding into town just for one night only, to astound and beguile as only they know how.

Last night @RVGBAND turned in a truly watershed performance, officially christening their latest opus ‘Brain Worms’ to a packed Melbourne Forum as part of the incredible Rising Festival.

Only just getting around to posting about ‘The Damned’ (who treated us to the last gig of their tour as part of the Rising Festival @ The Forum). It’s been nuts these past few weeks so couldn’t even predict my availability until a couple of hours before this gig… so all in all it was with profound pleasure that I grabbed a last minute Tixel bargain and got along to this… The band were truly superb.

Here’s The Judges, a new Melbourne band on Anti Fade Records playing only their fourth ever show, supporting ‘The Prize’ the other night at Cactus Rooms… All the ingredients are there… Fantastic stuff…
